The Omega Male and a Non-Hierarchical Society

The Omega Male and a Non-Hierarchical Society

“I am who I am [and I shall be, shall I be].” Exodus 3:14

“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end.” Revelations 21:2, 21:6, 22:13

“To the weak I became as I was weak, so that I may gain the weak; I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.” 1 Corinthians 9:22

About the Religious Quotes

I am not religious. When believed, I believe religious mythology can be very dangerous. When analyzed, as one would analyze literature, I believe religious texts can be very beneficial. If we regard the Bible as the Gnostic would, we can start to find concepts that may help us evolve.

In Genesis, God created Man in “his own image.” And gave man a very simple direction; to observe his creation and to steward, or care, over it. To me, this is a very much a directive to be a compassionate scientist. Observe and name, then take care. As God would in Heaven, do so on Earth. It is not just Adam that is given this ability and responsibility, it is every single human being, individually, that is given this.

Others can not take this away. And others cannot do it for you. You must take your responsibility as a human being on the planet, to observe without prejudgment, to see reality for what it is (“the creation of God”), not for what you wish it to be, and care for it in the most just manner.

When one instead projects their imagination onto others, by pushing their unprovable religious beliefs, they have ceased to observe God’s creation. Instead, they wish to project their ego, whether borrowed from another religious “leader” or created of their own imagination. Imagination is great, creativity is awesome, as long as it is presented as it is, imagination. Fiction. When it is present as truth, it attempts to disprove reality. We need only observe, with a free mind, to find the truth, to find reality.

This is why I can use religious text, and quotes, to talk about reality. As The Lord of the Rings and Star Wars can help us understand the world through analogy and philosophy, so can the Bible, the Koran, and other religious texts. We need not believe that Obi Wan fought Darth Vader “a long time ago, in a galaxy far far away” to understand how power can corrupt even the greatest of individuals. Neither must we believe that Micheal actually cast Lucifer from Heaven to understand to moral of that same story. Power corrupts. And it is the social structure that we have relied on for millions of years that has empowered this corruption in our leaders. It is time we stop seeking leaders. It is time we lead our selves, as God intended us to do.

Alpha vs. Omega

The Omega Male is the new Alpha Male. I use the term Omega because the ideas I’m about to present are not typically associate with the Alpha Male, despite the fact that a true “alpha” would be inclined to take on these concepts. However, being we are still a semantically driven society, I will coin a “new” term. There are others, mostly from the “Pick Up Artist” culture, that have attempted to use this term, however, I hope this article will override their writings on it, and top the search engines for the term.

The Omega Male is the non-dominate, yet, leading individual. The Omega Male is not an exclusive position in a community or culture, in fact, the Omega Male wishes to inspire other individuals around them to also become “Omega.” So, what is “Omega”?

An Omega Male wants other men to have access to all the same resources he has access to. They do not want others to worship them, or rely on them for care. They want others to be fully capable individuals. They are not possessive or jealous. They are not spiteful or vengeful. The accept responsibility for taking care of the problems they see in the world. They do not blame others for their lives, or their environment. The do not say, “Someone should take care of this,” instead, the take care of it themselves if they can, if unable, they acknowledge that.

“God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.” – Reinhold Niebuhr

It is my opinion, that the most universal problem keeping human kind from “evolving” is our million year culture of hierarchy. For our entire existence, we have, for better or worse, either used our own power to dominate over others, or have looked for others to lead us. This was natural. It was all we knew and it allowed us to survive through tough times.

This is why there were Kings. Why corporations rule the world, why idols are created out of actors and politicians, and why governments have been empowered to take care of us from “cradle-to-grave.” And those are the reasons we must evolve. We must stop attempting to rule over others, and stop diverting responsibility onto leaders. We are all created in the image of God. We are all given the responsibility to steward over the Earth. We are all, male and female, destine to be Omega, rather than Alpha (or, as the sub-servant, Beta). The Alpha Male must keep the other Males down. The Omega Male brings other Males up.

What was once a means of surviving in a dangerous world is now making the world dangerous for our survival. We are capable of more, perhaps now more than ever. This is not about changing the past, or blaming it, this is not about being right or wrong. This is about growing up. This is the time of our awakening. This is the time of our maturing as a species and as individuals.

The concepts covered in “2012 Enlightenment Theory” are the start to how a Non-Hierarchical Society would function. The ability to grow food, the ability to lead our selves, to heal ourselves, to heal others, to share with others. The technological ability to create tools and machines without centralized industry. The ability to run computers on truly free software (GNU/Linux). These concepts are just the start. They are not proposals. All of these things are happening with or without you. Mankind is waking up, it is up to you whether or not you want to sleep in. Don’t worry, we’ll be more than happy to share with you once you decide to get out of bed. No rush, no pressure. Just letting you know what is going on.

The emerging culture is one led from the bottom up, not top down. Their is no top. The sciences and technologies developing will empower every individual to be fully capable of taking care of themselves. It still will take a community, but the community will produce an abundance of resources. With compassion, no one leaves hungry. No one will owe anyone anything. No debt, no servitude. It is a “creation economy.” It is an even playing field. It is a new society, a new culture. No fault, no blame, no diversion of responsibility. It is taking responsibility for our God given ability to care for the Earth and all life on it. It is the ability to care for ourselves and others. It is a Non-Hierarchical Society.
