The following websites allow their users to give small (micro) amounts of money to recipients without filling out numerous forms, or even making numerous transactions:
Developed by a Texas “libertarian,” Givv.org makes donating to charity easier. User set up a monthly donation amount and then choose who to give that money to (and how much) from either pre-registered Charities, or a Charity of their choice (which users can submit. I personally added a few, including my hometown’s public school district).
The website is easy to use and accounts are easy to set up (if you’ve ordered something off Amazon.com, or have a Facebook account, you should be able to do this). You schedule a withdrawal from a private account, that is then taken and split up amongst your chosen causes. Donations for each Charity are then pooled together and given as one donation, cutting down credit card transaction fees for the Charity, and alleviating form filling and donation scheduling from the User’s life.

Kiva.org is a micro-loan service that brings no-interest loans to those less fortunate in the world. You can choose who and how much to give. When a loan is repaid, you can then re-loan it. Whatever money you put into the system stays within the system (you don’t get it back, there is no profit to be made, consider it charity!). You can see my “lender page” here: http://www.kiva.org/lender/jaktober. I started in 2009 with a $25 donation and have re-loaned it 5 additional times.
Flattr.com allows content users to give small amounts of money to content providers. This is not a charity site, but a micro-transaction site geared toward making revenue accessible to free-content providers. Our company profile is here: https://flattr.com/profile/serafmedia. An account is set up on the site which you can add funds to. The user (you) then determine how much to pay out from the account on a monthly basis. That amount is then divided amongst your clicks, or “flattrs”.
By taking advantage of all three of these services, anyone can become a Master Micro-Activist, and help build a global community based on Abundance and Peace.

Also note that it is possible to support some Givv charities as well as other charities through Flattr and that these charities are exempt from fees: https://flattr.com/profile/givv and https://flattr.com/browse/charity This means you can easily combine donations to charities with donations to creators etc.
Great point! I totally forgot to mention that.
That’s awesome! I never knew anything like these existed, but I have wondered about exactly these things. Thank you for sharing!
