For citizens concerned with the economic future of our country, culture and society, it should be comforting that one of the few voices of reason, that predicted the recent economic collapse, is running for the Republican Nomination for U.S. Senate in Connecticut. His name is Peter Schiff, and he will appear on the ballot for the August 10th Connecticut Republican Primary.
Americans should be able to look past party lines when dealing with national concerns and economic policies. Schiff is fighting an uphill battle and needs all the support he can get to secure a spot on Novembers ballot, where he would have a strong chance of winning the seat in next year’s Congress. While his views on pre-emptive military actions are not completely in line with Progressive and Libertarian beliefs, he is strongly against our current occupations in Iraq and Afghanistan and any future occupations, he strongly supports civil liberties and would be an incredible asset to the American people in regards to economic policies.

Peter Schiff, the “under-dog” running for this nomination is perhaps the best financial expert in the Country ready to assist our Government through these hard economic times. He has proven he is capable of speaking the unpopular truth. Unfortunately Schiff is challenged by mainstream and establishment candidates Linda McMahon and Rob Simmons. The winner of the Primary will face Democratic Nominee Richard Blumenthal to fill the seat vacated by Chris Dodd.
