Wanted to get the bad news out of the way first. Von NotHaus may be sentenced to 25 years in prison for developing, and distributing, an alternate currency backed by privately minted Silver coins. At the Same time Utah passed a Gold Tender bill through their State House earlier this month and currently Georgia is debating following suit.
The good news is that 12 other states (Colorado, Montana, Missouri, Indiana, Iowa, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont and Washington) are trying to do the same thing. We now have both a clear legal/political path and a clear consumer/activist path for fighting the Federal Reserve System.
Political Action: Write your State Legislatures and Ask them to either support similar legislation in your State, or, if there is not current legslation, educate them on this movement and link them to articles on it. Just type in your zip code at http://votesmart.org/, and follow the list down to “State Legislative” and give your representative(s) a call. To be even more effective, send a letter using standard “snail” mail.
Consumer Action: Buy Gold, Silver (and even Copper) and use them to trade with friends, give as gifts, or just as a totem to encourage conversation. You can do this through ebay.com or a number of private distributors. By purchasing Lakota Coins through our (Seraf Media‘s) AOCS Mint Affiliate Page, consumers can support Seraf Media, the AOCS Mint, The Free Lakota Bank and Sound Money.
