Free Tibet Through A Chinese Constitution

Free Tibet Through A Chinese Constitution

Charter 08, written and signed by Chinese farmers, business representatives, political activists, former-Communist Party members, and  contributors from numerous other fields, borrowed language from America’s Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution to call for a Federated Chinese Republic through a Bill of Rights and Separation of Powers.  Inspired by the similar Charter 77 of Czechoslovakia, supporters of the Draft Constitution of found themselves arrested or vanished.

The Free Tibet movement is essential the idea that the Tibetan people will only be Free once the Dalai Lama is able to return without fear of prosecution.  This change would symbolize the change in government, and relationship to China, that would allow for such religious and political freedom.  Charter 08 would not only allow for a Federated Sovereign State of Tibet, but for Religious Freedom and Sovereign Independence for the rest of the Chinese Nation, and Freedom and Liberty for its People.
