Swedish Constitution May Allow Pirate Party to Host File Sharing From Parliament

The Pirate Party of Sweden intends to use Chapter 12; Act 3 of the Instrument of Government, the First Law of the Swedish Constitution, to host The Pirate Bay from within Parliament itself.  The law states:

“A person who is currently, or who has been previously, a minister may be held accountable for a criminal act committed in the performance of his ministerial duties only if he has grossly neglected his official duty thereby.”

The Swedish Pirate Party is currently the 3rd largest party in Sweden by member registration, and was awarded 2 seats in the EU Parliament after receiving 7.9% of the vote in the 2009 election.  If they are able to secure a seat in the Swedish Parliament by winning 4% of the vote in the September 19th, 2010 election, they intend to use Parliamentary Immunity to not only protect themselves as the new ISP of The Pirate Bay, but to host the site from within the protection of Parliament.
