2012 Enlightenment Theory Part 3: 3013 To Infinity and Beyond

If 2012 is the Year in which a critical mass of people acknowledge the potential future of mankind to live in Peace and Abundance.

2012 Enlightenment Theory: A World of Abundance and Self-Governance

And If 2020 is the Year in which functioning communities begin to emerge completely independent from markets, economies and industry.

2012 Enlightenment Theory Part 2: 2020 Vision and Focus

Then 3013 is the Year in which mankind completely transforms the world into a self sustained society, in which our technological and spiritual advancement frees civilization from poverty, war, pollution, want and need. 3013 is when we as a species will prove our capability of sustaining ourselves on a planet for the entirety of it’s life span. 3013 is the year in which we can confidently begin to colonize the stars, terraform planets, and spread life throughout the universe.

Earth

Before we spread ourselves throughout the Universe it’d probably be a good idea for us to get our own planet set. Plus, the practices it’ll take for us to clean up and fix the planet will be needed for us to make other planets hospitable for human life.

The Desert Garden

Permaculture in of itself holds the key to alleviating poverty on a global scale. Despite environment we can grow a diverse and abundant amount of food, retain and harvest water, build shelters and even produce energy. We can terraform deserts and end scarcity.

The Mushroom Kingdom

The Singularity

The singularity is the idea that human advancement is coming to a pinnacle point in which all previous modes of progress will be challenged. This is actually quite in tune to what I am talking about, however I want to drive through that this is a far more simpler “transcendence” then the idea of becoming “Trans-human.” Before we begin thinking about integrating technology into our brains let’s think about just calming our minds first. The ability to see the world without pessimism is a far greater transcendence than having computers assist our thinking. The ability to look upon reality without prejudgments is far more profound than awaiting a cosmic consciousness, in fact, this is exactly what I would describe as this cosmic consciousness. Our ability to act and not divert responsibility is far more freeing than artificial intelligent robots taking care of our ever need. We are already capable of freeing humanity, it is our lack of will to do it that is holding us back, not our technology. That is what I believe will happen on December 21, 2012. When nothing else happens, when the sun rises and sets, and we realize that it has been us the entire time. That our liberation and freedom has always been ours to take, and ours to give away. 2012 is when we take responsibility for being human, rather than waiting on some Trans-human experiment. 3013 is when our great-grandchildren will look back and thank us for finally waking up.

Automation and The Venus Project

Even with AI and 3D Printing, many of the solutions the Venus Project proposes are unneeded and in some places, a waste of energy. However, the approach to our problems that Jacque Fresco contributed to our dialectic is invaluable. We can go about things in a smarter fashion. We can, as a community, pool resources, share machines, and help each other survive. But we don’t need a super-computer to run our environment, if we simply adhere to Natural Law, and observe our environment as Permaculture instructs, then Nature will take care of itself. The creation of another centralized social structure will only keep us in our current paradigm. There are smarter solutions and most times the simpler solution is the smartest of all.

Mars

After we have set our planet up to be sustained for the entirety of its natural life, and even while we are doing so, Mars will offer us a place to practice our ability to spread life throughout a Universe.

Space: The Final Frontier

Once we have proven our ability to care for our own Earth, and used this wisdom and knowledge to make our neighbor planet Mars habitable for mankind, we can stretch out to other Systems within our Galaxy, and even to other Galaxies in our Universe.

Why So Serious?

To get us through what could be seen as chaotic and depressing times; war, famine, poverty, strife, we need to take a lighter look at life. As Bill Hicks said, “It’s just a ride.” What I propose is to relax a bit. Don’t get too caught up with conspiracy theorists. Ron Paul won’t let Corporations run amok, and The Zeitgeist Movement isn’t a Luciferian plot. What we need is a balance between these theories, we need to let those of good nature continue their work, having confidence in our own. We need to hold up our heroes to the standards they propose. We need to take a step back and relax, and not get caught up in the manufactured panic our media and politicians impose upon us.
